no they are not
square enix crushed a million hopes by straightout admitting it
Stupid, pointless tech demos like this make the ps3
look bad. And when it came out, it was bad. It has gotten better though and in my opinion risen above the xbox and wii.
They will remake this game
but not dis tym because they are busy in making the ff13 versus.
I have been developing my own computer game
for quite some time now….its not very good but even by myself a 7 minute cut scene takes less than 3 hours
They shouldn’t have made this if they weren’t going to make a remake of Final Fantasy 7. It’s kind of a slap in the face.
there won’t be a remake of ff7!
don’t u get ir!?
who told ya they are remaking FF7? .. this is just a technical demo to show world how it would be in ps3
… they already said a lot of times that they aren’t working on this and don’t have plans to do it for a while.
Well sir, I am ashamed to call myself a huge FF VII fan when compared to you hahaha. I would get in like 50 hours and would think I was hardcore.
When I played the game
I always played it to 100% (or close) completion. Sure, the main story only takes 40 or so hours, but I’d spend hours in the theme park (getting the gold chocobo, beating the battle arena for omnislash etc, played every game
in the arcade a ton for high scores). Also I beat every single weapon (the big robot things) on each playthrough and all the other side quests that were abound in that game
. So yea, played that game
to death (three times, years apart of course).
You beat a game
that takes 40 hours to beat 3 times but managed to log in 300 hours? What did you do during the other 180 hours?
its nice that ther remaking ff7 but it will never be as fun as the old one
I am not saying I disagree w/ you in remake, but hey…If they choose not to do it I am not gonna be in their face and demanding it…. Why fix a classic game
if its not really broken…just like classic atari, nintendo, and genesis games
that quite a lot had no remakes despite them being highly phrased as classics…
I be seeing gamers who are around 15 years old even play ps one version of Resident Evil rather then say Wii versions or Gamecube remakes. Your fact about old games
being never picked up is big epic fail by new gen gamers. 2nd technology does not make things easier. Creating a 6 or 7 minute cutscene can take up to 2 months just for a 7 minute cutscene…You think that is not hard.. in your dreams not being too hard or not too much work. game
developer get tired and need a brake often.
I am sorry man… but I was just laughing at your reply to 2 people… Fact is you’re a FF 7 fanboy and not a FF fan in general like “quegg” might be… Second let me correctly you in facts… Old Final Fantasy 7 is still a game
… and if other people born after 90′s don’t play it as how it is, because of “graphics being poor”… They just being morons and don’t like old classic games
… How many gamers are around 17 and under and still wanna play NES 8 bit games
…Quite a lot I may add…
@quegg To simply sum up your comment then, so I don’t waste too much time with you. You’re not a “Real” fan… it’s just that simple. A mochery of the original? They owe it to the game
to show the world how truely amazing the game
really was, to all the people that never got to try it because of whatever reasons. Most people born 5-6years AFTER the release would never pick up a game
like ff7 as an original because of the graphics, thats a fact. And the “Real” fans still want it.
@shauneh13 I’ve beaten the game
3 times with about 300 hours into it. What’s so important to you and other “real” fans about graphics? To me, I would think a “real” fan would love the game
the way it is. If you love the story, they’ve made like 5 prequels/sequels to expand upon it. They have nothing to add, besides better graphics, and to spend that much time on making something old look pretty would be mockery to the original.
@asteel01 Nothing is impossible, or “too hard” with technology now… thats like saying ff13 was never possible. Same game
different story thats all it is, with god like graphics, how could it be “too hard” to take a story they already have and just remake with better graphics. It’s not like It won’t be profitable, they would make double what they made in japan for ff13 And to be honest as a ff fan I am not really excited for ff13 but it’s a must get… Just because as for ff7 The wait continues
@quegg don’t comment if you have never played the game
. It’s shit comments like yours that producers end up coming by and reading that push them away from remakes. This RPG was the best thing to come up on a console
, and for real fans a remake is all they wish for. I still play the original on my ps3
and I STILL want a remake. So it makes no difference, what a scrub like you says, because real fans will always want this remake, and will forever ask for it.
Just play the original, you don’t need a remake. Seriously, they already told that story, they don’t need to waste hundreds of hours retelling it with better graphics.
The Producers said in an interview with Ultimania Magazine that a remake will not happen and is “too hard”.
FFS Square!! Just do the fucking remake! All FF7 games
sell a lot and Advent children was a sucess.Pretty much any FF fan wants a FF7 remake so just do it. Stuborn sons of bitches.
Its not ingame… Its à movie…
…
Do you ever play games
Ps : do you know what ingame is ???
Some times its beter that you dont speak shiatia ( wierd name )
@Hendrie053: If you ever played the game
, you’d know this is a remake of the opening cinematic; that “zooming” is very possible, given that it’s a cinematic, and considering the PS1 could handle it, so can the ps3
.
P.S.
′s games
are written into Bluray discs, after all.
Yes, it likely is a Bluray Demo, the ps3
biggest kick in the nuts ever delivered by a video game
company
I’m playing through FFVII for the first time right now (downloaded it from PSN). The difference is incredible.
